I had a problem with the sewer line clean-out at my home in SJ. Jason and another plumber came quickly (on a Saturday) and resolved the problem. When our water heater started leaking, I called a number of different plumbers for estimates. The quotes ranged anywhere from $1200 to $1550, and most plumbers were reticent to give me solid numbers due to variables in how it was installed.
On my neighbor's recommendation, I called Clear Drain Plumbing. Jason charged us just $879 for the water heater, installation, two new supply lines, and removal of the old heater. He was in and out in about 2 hours (he was late for the appointment due to traffic, but he called in advance to let us know, so I don't fault him for that). His work seems to be good. He was friendly and courteous, took the time to answer all of our questions, and explained the features of the new water heater and how to operate it.
I did a bit of research on water heaters beforehand, so I realize I didn't get a top-of-the-line model... it is a 48-gallon, low NOx, .58 EF unit with a 5-year warranty. But for the price, it will do the job nicely.
